Can you install Cat Flaps into double glazed windows & doors?
Yes, it is possible to install cat flaps into a double-glazed window, patio doors or conservatory doors. However, this is not a DIY project. You need an experienced glazer who will measure, order and install a replacement sealed double glazed unit with the appropriate hole for fitting a cat flap. That is where we can assist.

The only limitation for installing a cat flap into glass is that the product has a circular holding (square cut-outs are not advised)

We also install larger dog flaps, as long as they have a circular holding.

If preferred, we can fit cat flaps into UPVC and solid timber doors.
Circular cat flaps usually state that they are suitable for fitting into glass on the packaging. If you have yet to buy, be aware that cat flaps with microchip readers are effective at ensuring only your pets gain entry. You can register multiple microchips, but the entrance will not open for other cats in your neighbourhood.
